Where things stand today
Links from this site to Amazon are affiliate links. If you buy something after following one, Amazon may pay this site a small commission. You pay exactly the same price as you would otherwise, because the commission comes out of Amazon's margin rather than your pocket.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
What an affiliate link does and does not do
- It does not change the price you pay.
- Nothing about you reaches Amazon beyond the ordinary fact that you followed a link.
- There is no redirect of ours in the middle. The link in the page points straight at Amazon, so you can see where you are going before you click.
- Search engines are told it is a paid link, which is both required and honest.
Why commission does not decide what is listed
Nobody can pay to appear here. There are no sponsored slots, no promoted placements, and no brand has any say in the catalog. Commission rates vary by category at Amazon, and we don't take them into account when choosing or ordering products. The ordering is driven by what parents report.
The reason to trust that is structural rather than a promise. A directory that steered parents of disabled children toward whatever earns most would be worthless within a month, and being worth reading is all this site has.
Prices and photographs
You will notice there are none. Amazon permits product prices and product images only through its Product Advertising API, which this site is not eligible for yet. A price that is more than 24 hours old may not be displayed at all, so rather than risk showing you something wrong, we show text only. Check the current price on Amazon itself.
